| On the third floor of an existing building in Portland, Maine's Old Port, subject to egress issues, the existing structure, and space constraints, an architects' office was to be designed. This was to include versatile prototype workstations designed for one-on-one conferencing and work area privacy, an efficient use of space, and materials used in fresh & interesting ways. |
|
An entry was created featuring a curved translucent wall linking the arrival to the reception, conference spaces and central workstations. Specific elements of the design incorporate birch plywood, translucent fiberglass panels, stainless fasteners, steel piping, drywall, carpet and slate. |
